2 Months Old!

Grady turned two months old today and we took him to his pediatrician for his check-up and his first round of vaccinations.  Matt went to the doctor with us and held Grady while Mommy he cried.  Ok, well maybe I cried too!

Grady now weighs 10 lbs 15 oz and is 23 1/2 inches tall.  The doctor said that Grady was interacting very well with him and he said that he typically sees this in older babies, ones that are 3 to 4 months old.  Listed below are some other highlights of his 2nd month:

- Grady smiles
- He coos and says different sounds such as "ahh goo"
- Can stare at very small objects and likes to look and touch the toys over his bouncy seat
- Hates tummy-time, will cry and fuss until we pick him up
- His favorite toys are his Glow-Worm, his mirror over his changing table, and the ceiling fan
- Started sleeping through the night at 6 1/2 - 7 weeks old.  He typically sleeps anywhere from 7 hours to 9 1/2 hours per night.  He will wake up around 5:30 or 6:30 to eat and then will go back down for another hour to two hours in the morning.  Matt and I know that his sleep habits will probably change with his next growth spurt, but for now we are enjoying our sleep.
