Wooah, We’re Halfway There

Anyone catch the Bon Jovi reference?  Anyone?  Bueller?  Well as the title of this post suggests, we are halfway through our pregnancy!  We are at 21 weeks to be exact.  Here is a look at the bump shot at 12 weeks.  I was still in my pre-pregnancy jeans.  Sigh; one day I will be back in these jeans, right?? (umm not sure why I’m posing next to an awkward lamp, but I’ll blame the photographer on this one)

We had Baby’s anatomy scan and ultrasound a week and a half ago.  Baby was barely moving and his/her heartbeat was the lowest I’ve ever heard it, at 125 BPM.  The Doctor said that she thought the Baby was sleeping, but wasn’t able to get a good look at one of the veins going out of the heart because of the lack of movement.  She also mentioned that my amniotic fluid was on the normal to low range and she would like us to come back and re-test both things.  As any new mom-to-be this completely freaked me out, but Matt, of course, was calm and said that everything was going to be fine. 

We went back last Friday for our re-test.  I purposefully made the appointment in the morning as Baby tends to move more then.  Baby was pretty active, heartbeat was at 150 BPM and everything checked out as normal, thank goodness!
