Well not exactly, but we did manage to buy a new car recently. Call us crazy, but driving a small sports car and a pickup truck didn’t seem quite conducive to hauling a little bambino around. We bought a 2011 Ford Escape and love all the bells and whistles it comes with. Admittedly it’s been 7 years since either of us actually bought a new (to us) vehicle, so many of these “extra” features are probably pretty standard. Listed below are the top 4 options we love about our new car:
1) The “sync” feature which allows us to use our Bluetooth and call each other while keeping both hands on the steering wheel. A typical conversation when using our sync goes something like this, “Hey honey, I’m stuck in traffic. Are you home walking the dog? No, I don’t know what’s for dinner, want to order pizza again?”
2) The backup camera so we can see our neighborhood Kamikaze Kid whizzing by on his scooter. Oh yeah, have we mentioned that the kid is about 4 years old and likes to ride his scooter in the middle of the street, as he signals for cars to move around him!
3) Sirius satellite radio – commercial free, what what!
4) Heated leather seats – perfect for this preggo’s lower back lately.
The heated leather seats are my favorite! It is great in the winter and it's so soothing when your back is hurting. Hope you love the new car... I really hate not having an SUV while carting two kids around!
ReplyDeleteYou guys both have Droids, so with the Sync you should be able to have it send and receive text messages. Michelle bought a new phone recently and unfortunately, her phone (LG Vortex) is not Text message compatible. Everything else goes through the phone so that's cool.
